We're based in Vaughan, Ontario, with 18 regional locations that include custom manufacturing facilities in Edmonton, Toronto and Winnipeg, as well as cash and carry locations, product showrooms and equipment demo sites.


We are currently looking for a full-time
National Sales Coordinator, Retail Distribution reporting to the Sales Manager, Business Papers, Western Region.


Your Challenge:

The duties and responsibilities of the National Sales Coordinator include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Managing and coordinating national sales programs for our National Accounts division
  • Implementing and maintaining pricing and costing for National Accounts programs and creating/updating customer price lists and presentation material for internal and external communication with the help of National Account Managers;
  • Assist, within a team atmosphere, the National Account Managers to support growth initiatives and customer presentations (Virtual on MS Teams or in person).
  • Work together as a team with the National Account Managers to create business opportunities;
  • Forecasting, reporting (B/O, Sales demand) and analyzing our products with Spicers Branches/Purchasing department and our Spicers A+ system to maximize our fill rates and customer service levels.
  • Managing and reviewing our national customer systems, catalogues and websites for product content, item Images and price change updates.
  • Monitoring and recording, as a team, published competitive market information on a regular basis for any changes.
  • Work closely with our manufacturer/supplier partners to gather product information, costing, Images, market strategy and sell sheets to grow National category as well as providing customer quotations;
  • Manage and report to our supplier's monthly rebate claim backs based on supported costing (SPAs)
  • Development and maintenance of sales management reporting tools, presentations, and customer analytics;
  • Providing excellent customer service daily to our National Retail/Redistribution customers focused on Paper and Packaging products
  • Potentially visit and engage various levels of client management;
  • Communicating National sales, forecasting and pricing programs to our Spicer's executives, including Vice Presidents, General Managers, and customer service departments across all our Canadian branches;
  • Under direction from Sales Management, negotiate with manufacturers, prices, and conditions to finalize new agreements and/or customer's retention;
  • Assist in preparation of National business and tender proposals for paper, packaging and large format;
  • Acquisition of technical knowledge sustained from our suppliers;
  • Develop and maintain pricing tools including freight tables to be used in the market for National clients;
  • Support for other National Retail Redistribution team members during holidays and peak times with high activity.
  • Coordination and participation in industry events including customer shows; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Qualifications:


  • Completion of a postsecondary degree or diploma in a related field;
  • Minimum two (2) years' experience;
  • Knowledge of the Paper, Packaging (Mail, Pack and Ship) and office products industries considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of A+ system considered an asset:
  • Bilingual (French and English) considered an asset
  • Strong business analytical skills considered an asset
  • Strong problem solving skills;
  • Effective communication and presentation skills (both oral and written);
  • Strong abilities in using MS Office including Excel and PowerPoint;
  • Excellent attention to details, including organization and timemanagement skills;
  • Excellent people skills;
  • Punctual, dependable, and reliable;
  • Excellent teamwork and team building skills;
  • Selfdirected and selfmotivated;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities; and
  • Ability to travel on occasion.
