TRANSFER POLICY and PROCESS:


POLICY


This posting will provide an opportunity for Team Members to be
considered for a transfer to a
GENERAL LABOUR position, based on their department and/or shift selection, and based on available openings.


HOW DO POSTINGS GET IDENTIFIED?
Conestoga Production Managers and Human Resources will identify the maximum number of available
GENERAL LABOUR positions in each department, on each shift that will be eligible to be filled through internal movement

PLEASE NOTE:

This review will occur semi-annually).


HOW DO YOU APPLY?

TO APPLY, go to the Job Application Portal and provide this MANDATORY information:

  • Your
    Employee Number
  • The name of the
    Department and
    Shift you would like to move to (which are listed below).

Department Choices
CUT/PACKAGING, PAN, KILL, HACCP


Shift Choices
DAYS (AM), AFTERNOONS (PM)


WHAT ARE THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA?

1. The Team Member
has not had a successful General Labour Transfer or Job Posting (not including a promotional opportunity), within the past posting period.


2. The Team Member
has no discipline on file at or over the level of a 2nd Written Warning within the past six (6) months.


3. The Team Member is physically able to perform the essential duties of the job. (Health and Safety will review and confirm eligibility).


HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

2. Human Resources will review the open position requirements (as identified by the Management Team) and refer to the list of Team Members eligible to transfer. Human Resources will identify the Team Member who has the
highest Conestoga seniority, based on the shift and department selection and notify them of the open opportunity. The employee may accept the opportunity to transfer and HR will confirm the date of transfer.


EXTERNAL RECRUITMENT / LIMITATION OF MOVEMENT

PLEASE NOTE:


Not all General Labour positions will be filled using this internal transfer process;** External recruitment will continue and run parallel to this posting period.


2. In order to ensure the ongoing stability of our organization and continue to meet the needs of our customers, Conestoga may be required from time to time to delay the actual date of movement of a Team Member to their new department/shift based on business or staffing needs. This will be communicated to the Team Member in advance and potential date of transfer will be identified.
