Clinical Translational Scientist - Regina, Canada - Alimentiv
Description
Support/Lead Scientific Efforts for Precision Medicine Products:
- Provide expert input on design and conduct of clinical studies incorporating Precision Medicine endpoints and/or "omics and non-omics" techniques including but not limited to transcriptomics, metabolomics, proteomics, microbiome, digital image analysis and/or clinical pharmacology.
- Prepare and/or support the preparation and review of Precision Medicine product plans, clinical study reports, and Precision Medicine sections of clinical development plans, study protocols, abstracts, manuscripts, and technical reports.
- Perform and/or support the analysis and interpretation of Precision Medicine data for sponsor and investigatorinitiated studies.
- Serve on crossfunctional teams to provide support in the area of Precision Medicine
Business Development and Sponsor Support:
- Assist with business development activities including participating in Request for Proposal (RFP) responses, project pricing, protocol development and bid defenses in the area of Precision Medicine.
- Provide advice to sponsors seeking Alimentiv's guidance in early phase work.
- Support staff, site and investigator training in related areas of expertise.
Product and Service Innovation Support:
- Assist in the development of our product/service platforms to ensure all stakeholder requirements are being considered, documented, and translated into the final solution.
- Participate in brainstorming meetings and functionality reviews.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience Required
- Minimum of an undergraduate degree AND 79 years related experience + Continuous training.
- Minimum of 2 years of translational medicine experience in pharmaceutical industry or academia or equivalent.
- Experience working and collaborating in crossfunctional global team environment. Ability to interact externally and internally to support global Precision Medicine efforts.
Assets
- Postgraduate degree in Bioinformatics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Biology/Biological Sciences, or related field
- Proficiency with R programming language
- Experience with database systems
- Experience in the use of bioinformatics tools and methods for analysis of next generation sequencing and other high dimensional data types
- Knowledge of immunology, inflammatory bowel disease and/or other gastrointestinal diseasesP
