Responsibilities :
_Including but not limited to the following_

  • Develop scope of requirements with compliance and collaboration with engineers, architects and city planners etc. to determine the specifications of the project
  • Prepare cost, budget, and targets with knowledge of supply chain management
  • Negotiate contracts with suppliers, service providers, vendors to reach profitable agreements
  • Determine resources (manpower & materials) from start to finish with attention to budget
  • Plan all construction operations & schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines met
  • Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
  • Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones and monitor progress
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures for quality control
  • Plan and manage budgets
  • Direct the purchase of building materials
  • Oversee the analysis of data and information
  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate daily operations
  • Prepare reports
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other nonuniversity certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

Work setting

  • Residential construction

Budgetary responsibility
- $500,000 - $1,500,000


Requirements:


  • Proven experience construction contracts manager
  • Indepth understanding of construction procedures, material, & management principles
  • Good knowledge of MS Office (incl. Excel), Google Workspace
  • Familiarity with construction/ project management software
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
  • Excellent organizational and timemanagement skills
  • A team player with leadership abilities
  • BSc/BA in engineering, building science or relevant field a plus
  • PMP or equivalent certification will be an advantage

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$57,000.00-$65,000.00 per year

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
