Description

The Rehabilitation Aide, working under the direction of the Clinical Support Manager/Physical
Therapist/Occupational Therapist, is responsible for the provision of therapy services assisting the regulated
therapist with client service and support activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma
Additional education in rehabilitation services is an asset
Experience in rehabilitation services is an asset

REQUIREMENTS:

Facilitate a variety of exercise and rehabilitation interventions under the direction of the Physiotherapist
Maintaining and updating rehabilitation paperwork as directed by the therapist, and awareness of when

to refer a client to the therapist for reassessment

Observation and communication with the therapist and coworkers regarding a client's behaviour and

health status.

Assist and encourage resident's active participation in programming
Assistance with the fabrication and maintenance of devices/adaptive equipment
Adherence to charting guidelines and infection control as per policy and procedures
Clerical duties, such as photocopying, documenting attendance, ordering equipment/supplies, etc.

Mandatory LAPP membership for permanent Part-time and Full-time employees that work a 0.7 FTE or greater (see policy FS 03-04)
