THOAR Mining provides a wide variety of services in the support and operation of mining, ranging from project management, supervision, underground construction, maintenance, and mining equipment operation.

We have an immediate need for an experienced, safety-conscious
Industrial Insulator at the
McClean Lake uranium mine site. These positions are
temporary full-time.

The project is anticipated to begin on August 30, 2023, and an anticipated end date of October 4, 2023 with the possibility of extension or transition to other projects.

Responsibilities:


  • Strict adherence and commitment to safe work practices to:
  • Apply, remove and repair thermal and acoustical insulation mine/mill equipment;
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to establish the appropriate material(s), installation, and finishing requirements;
  • Execute the installation of insulating and finishing materials (measuring, cutting, and applying); and
  • Following up with any quality control requirements as directed.

Qualifications:


  • Preference will be given to qualified (ticketed) Apprentice or Journeyman Insulators;
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints/P&IDs/piping insulation specifications;
  • Grade 12 diploma or GED required;
  • Valid class 5 driver's license required;
  • CSTS ticket, confined space training, and fall arrest training;
  • Valid WHMIS and SCOT are considered an asset;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, site staff, and contractors; and
  • Must display credibility and integrity to maintain the respect of superiors, subordinates, and peers.

Client Requirements:


  • Proof of full COVID19 vaccination will be required;
  • A preemployment drug and alcohol test will be required.

Temporary Full-Time


Compensation:
Competitive Hourly Pay Based on Experience


Accomodation Provided:
Camp Accomodation and Travel Allowance if applicable


Shift Schedule:12-hour shifts with the ability to work both day and night; One weeks on, One week off

(August 30 - September 6, September 1- September 20, September 2- October 4)
