    As part of the Business Development team, the Business Development/Key Client Manager will be responsible for driving net new business functions, ensuring highly productive client partnerships are maintained. This role encompasses responsibility to ensure that IPG remains competitive and well positioned in the marketplace. This role requires hands-on industry experience with a track record of client development, sales execution, strategic negotiations, and ability to provide continued organic growth and opportunity across the organization.

    We are looking for an outgoing, dynamic individual who can work with our clients and staff to maintain and grow new and existing client relationships. You will be responsible for understanding our client's needs and translating that into improved service, customer satisfaction and retention while always looking for new business opportunities.

    You will be adept at creating sales presentations and presenting these along with Data presentations prepared by our Management Information (MI) team.

    Role Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Create solutions custom to client needs
  • Develop with management new business strategies through market analysis and customer engagement
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve workflow/operational processes
  • Comply with regulatory and industry standards
  • Participate in initiatives to enhance brand visibility
  • Support the management team with reporting to internal stakeholders
  • Attend industry events to promote IPG Brand as a highly visible ambassador
  • Qualifications & Education :

  • Strong understanding of London market relationships (syndicates, brokers, coverholders)
  • Strong communication skills, including listening, interviewing, negotiating, and able to flex your style appropriate to audience
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage conflicting priorities in an effective manner
  • Proactive and positive approach to customer service, ensuring that all inquiries are effectively dealt with in a timely manner
  • Strong interpersonal skills allowing you to effectively deal with conflict and difficult situations
  • Effective written skills including those of a technical nature.
  • Proactive self-starter motivated by results
  • Minimum of 5+ years insurance industry experience
  • Minimum of 5+ years sales experience
  • CIP, CRM, CSP beneficial
  • Experience in all aspects of sales including growth strategies, account development, budgeting and forecasting
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills.
  • Demonstrates strong presentation skills and a solutions and service orientation
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
