Medical Office Manager

Duties

  • Oversee daily clinic operations, (NOT responsible for Payroll, Bookkeeping or banking)
  • Supervise staff
  • Work within EMR
  • Responsible for billing, submissions, reconciliation within EMR system.
  • Help hire and train new employees
  • Ensure the healthcare facility is following provincial/territorial and federal healthcare regulations
  • Manage clinic workflow, filling out insurance forms, handling correspondence.
  • Update patient medical records
  • Faxing, scanning, updating patient medical records and arranging for laboratory services.
  • Managing inventory of medical supplies.
  • Assist reception staff.
Qualities

  • Strong organizational and timemanagement skills.
  • Strong Admin background and ability to support senior management.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skills in developing and maintaining effective relationships with staff, patients, and medical personnel.
  • Must have knowledge in medical terminology, computer skills.
  • This position requires attention to detail and leadership skills.
  • Must be friendly, punctual, efficient, organized.
  • Must possess a strong work ethic and be able to multitask in a busy environment.
  • Must have previous medical office experience.
  • We are open Monday to Friday. We are closed Nights, Weekends and on all Statutory Holidays.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$17.50-$21.00 per hour
