Operating on a provincial land base of over 94 million hectares, the Ministry ensures the sustainable management of forest, wildlife, water and other land based resources; works with Indigenous and rural communities to strengthen and diversify their economies; and, supports activities that provide environmental, economic, cultural and social benefits.

The Ministry oversees policy development, operational management and implementation, and administers all or part of over 60 statutes and associated regulations.


Job Requirements:


  • Technical Diploma in a related field (such as clerical/office administration, communications); OR, Grade 12 supplemented with one (1) year of *related experience.
  • Related experience must include:
  • Administrative support/office experience responding to inperson or telephone client/customer enquiries.
  • Must possess a valid British Columbia Class 5 Driver's License
Preference may be given to applicants who have experience with one or more of the following:

  • Experience in multi-tasking, working in a fast-paced office environment and managing workload with minimum supervision.
  • Experience working in a customer service delivery program and dealing with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


  • Must be willing and be able to lift and carry boxes/mailbags weighing up to 20 pounds, for distances of up to 10 feet, and to manipulate them from heights which may require the use of a foot stool.
  • Ability to obtain and provide clear, concise and complete oral and written information using recognized standards of business English at a level appropriate to the audience.

About this Position:

There is currently one (1) temporary opportunity available until April 12, 2024. This temporary opportunity may be extended or become permanent.
