- Facilitate safety committee functions and responsibilities.
- Provide expertise to managers and employees on the identification and control of hazards.
- Support Operations and Safety Managers in planning, developing, implementing, monitoring and reporting on safety programs.
- Lead and guide the reporting, investigation, closure and tracking of workplace incidents in the region.
- Maintain expertise in safety legislation and best practices, and understand their impact on operations.
- University degree, preferably in Occupational Health and Safety; or related field
- Minimum 5-7 years safety experience
- Possession of, or working towards, Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP) designation
- Experience in providing technical safety support to field operations
- Experience in the telecommunications industry is an asset
- Strong written, presentation and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to work independently, use critical thinking, take initiative and be resourceful
- Strong ability to engage leaders and drive the implementation of policies and programs
- Demonstrated communication skills and ability to effectively deal with all levels in an organization
- Strong computer skills with knowledge of Windows applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint; Ability to travel within the region

The Regional Safety Advisor's primary responsibility is to lead the implementation of Rogers safety programs in the region and support frontline operations. Additionally, the Advisor will act as a source of guidance and information for Safety Committees, Human Resources, and Operations. This position is open to candidates within Brampton, York Mills, Toronto and surrounding GTA.

Work Schedule & Location
Onsite Attendance Requirement
