The position practices in accordance with the standards of professional practice and code of ethics as outlined by the College of Dietitians of British Columbia (CDBC) and within a client-centred self-care supportive model aligned with the vision and values of MCFD.
Dietitians deliver efficient and effective food and nutrition services to the public and health professionals in British Columbia. Services include information, advice, education, counselling, consultations, and medical nutrition therapy. Clients across British Columbia include individuals with general food and nutrition queries, and those at increased risk of or with established chronic disease(s).
Job Requirements:
- Registered Dietitian in good standing with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia, or eligible to obtain membership with the College of Dietitians of British Columbia before accepting an offer of employment.
- One (1) or more years of experience as a registered dietitian in a hospital, primary care, private practice, community or longterm care setting.
- Experience providing client-centered nutrition care to children and youth.
- Experience in the use of relevant computer software, including electronic health records, and MS Office.
- Applicants who selfidentify as Indigenous (First Nations, Métis or Inuit) with the required combination of education and experience.
About this Position:
One (1) part-time (42 hours bi-weekly) position available.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 1 day at home per week as per the Telework Agreement.
