We are hiring a
Purchasing Inventory Manager to support our head office in Vaughan, Ontario. Reporting to the Director of Operations this is a
Monday-Friday permanent full-time on-site position.

The Purchasing Inventory Manager is an imperative member of our Operations Inventory Team, this role focuses on generating daily PO's, meeting objectives, identifying, implementing, 3rd Party inventory apps and presenting solutions for operational activities.

This position will be responsible for managing inventory and the procurement of products which are distributed.

Duties & Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Lead and manage team and inventory and purchasing process.
  • Evaluate risk, assess, prepare forecast scenarios concerning the supply market.
  • Assess programs to implement an automated PO system that utilizes predictive ordering.
  • Provide input and recommendations to optimize SAP.
  • Develop, maintain, and analyze sales trends to identify product demand and inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to execute purchasing strategy solutions, (e.g., Purchasing, Vendor Relations, Operations, and Sales).
  • Make alternate arrangements in the event of shortages or delayed deliveries to minimize organizational impact.
  • Understand and use each vendor's timelines and unit of measure to accurately purchase products.
  • Perform strategic cycle counts, analyze stock levels, and assist the team in managing bin locations.
  • Assist with process improvements including documenting process maps, and SOP's.
  • Coordinate returns and product discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Support PO pickups and automate process with the logistics team.
  • Liaison with 3rd party apps and support the integration and implementation of programs.
  • Complete rootcause analysis and risk management
  • Maintain key reporting metrics and support continuous improvement.
  • Attend regular meetings with the management team to measure project performance and maintenance as required.

JJob Qualifications & Requirements

  • Postsecondary education, bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience in Supply Chain.
  • At least five (5) years of proven professional inventory management, demand planning, or supply chain business analysis experience.
  • Previous experience working with a food distributor or warehouse preferred.
  • Knowledge of SAP ERP is required.
  • Proficiency in WMS, MS Office Suites and Excel are a must.
  • Ability to perform data analysis using strategic thinking.
  • Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership with a focus on people first.
  • Must also have excellent customer service skills.
  • Effective attention to detail and a high degree of data entry accuracy.
  • Sound analytical thinking, planning, prioritization, and execution skills.
  • Ability to solve problems independently, effectively, and efficiently.
  • Must be able to work autonomously and crosscollaboratively with other departments.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Reliable transportation is required.
  • Must be able to attend the workplace daily, full time onsite position.
