Martin's Family Fruit Farm is one of Canada's largest apple growers, packers, and processors. Martin's operates one of Canada's most advanced apple storage, sorting, grading and packing facilities on a year round basis. Martin's is currently hiring a full-time permanent Logistics Coordinator.
Reporting to the Logistics Supervisor the _Logisitics Coordinator_ is responsible for handling incoming and outgoing shipments on day shift. This hands-on position will work directly with material handlers, Quality Control and Production.
- Day Shift_
- Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm Saturday work and overtime as needed
Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all shipments are handled safely with precision and in a timely manner
- Work with Quality Control to ensure all shipments meet final inspection
- Collaborate with material handlers and Production team to manage inventory levels, answer any inventory questions and resolve problems/issues
- Operate forklift and reach truck as needed to assist material handlers with picking and loading
- Using inventory software, enter product details of shipments, create paperwork for loads and provide drivers with copies
- Promote safety within shipping, following all health & safety and food safety procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Shipping/receiving and forklift experience required
- Must have valid driver's license
- Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management
- Excellent team player with strong communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot/problem solve with mínimal supervision
- Ability to plan, organize, multitask, and prioritize in a fastpaced environment
- Good computer skills (Microsoft Office, inventory management system)
