Provide opportunities that inspire students to achieve and succeed as resilient learners who positively impact their communities.

Job Duties:

Perform a variety of maintenance tasks at multiple locations, such as:
grounds maintenance such as landscaping and cleanup;
operating light equipment;
minor Building maintenance; and,

moving school and office furniture and equipment.


Experience in carpentry, electrical, mechanical, painting, and the ability to operate grounds maintenance equipment would be considered an asset but not a requirement.

Able to work independently or as a team.

Excellent problem solving, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Able to anticipate hazards and follow safe working procedures according to Grasslands and OH&S protocols.

Able to tolerate and work around dust and fumes.

Able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Able to work in crowded and loud environments.


Able to perform tasks, on every shift, that may be physically demanding that includes but not limited to; climbing and balancing; stooping, kneeling, crawling, bending, turning, and reaching; lifting, carrying, pulling and pushing; and prolonged sitting and standing.

Understanding and appreciation of Grasslands Public Schools mission and values.


Able to conduct oneself in a responsible and respectful manner while working in and around a school environment, in the community, and with third parties, that is in alignment with division's policies, guidelines and values.
