In this role, located at the RBC Global Shared Services Center in Bedford NS, you will analyze cross-border investment income data for client investments in specific countries and regions globally to determine Reclaims or Relief at Source (RAS) requirements, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure quality is maintained.

You will develop expertise and own tax operations processes (including Tax reclaims and Relief at Source), including expertise in tax regulations and compliance requirements.

You will proactively manage and keep track of reclaims through the process, maintaining visibility to senior team members, and ensuring best-in-class custody service to RBC Investor & Treasury Service customers

What will you do?

Accurately complete the daytoday Tax Operations production for Tax Reclaims and Relief at Source processing
Ensure key production milestone dates are achieved and within daily service level commitments
Ensure quality and timeliness around Reclaim certification and processing to Agents
Ensure quality and timeliness around Relief at Source processes
Ensure quality and timeliness around 3rd party subcustodians and the clients local tax offices
Identify areas for continuous improvement, leveraging Lean and Agile methodologies

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Diploma/Degree
Familiarity with MS office tools and ability to perform data manipulation and analysis (using Excel or other tools)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Willingness to work onsite at the work location, as an essential services role

Nice-to-have

Experience in an operations center environment
Financial Services or Accounting background
Knowledge within Withholding Tax and Custody
