Want to be an essential part of keeping our communities safe this winter? Join our team- As a Plow Operator, you will be responsible for:

The safe and efficient operation of the spreader, plow wing, combo unit or tow to perform the clearing of local roads as per the contract requirements
Maintain accurate documentation including but not limited to, fuel reports, safety reports and hours of service
Maintain/clean equipment and conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs as required
Operate specialized equipment, including winter equipment, as trained and as required
Carry out road maintenance activities, facility maintenance and yard maintenance as required
What You'll Bring:
DZ license with a clean driver's abstract required
Ability to drive Automatic or Manual transmission vehicles, an asset
Previous experience in winter works operations, an asset
Ability to operate winter combination units
Available to respond to callins within thirty minutes
Ability to remain flexible with shift schedules, and extended hours (evenings, weekends, nights, and holidays)
Mechanical knowledge and ability to perform minor repairs as required
Appreciation for a high level of efficient and quality work
Effective communication (written and verbal)
Willingness to work in extreme weather conditions
Willingness to learn and appreciate company values
