Part-Time/Full Time Position - MTS (Ponoka) Enterprises Society

BFM Foundation (Canada) is a national organization with 50 Mission Thrift Stores across Canada.

The net revenue from all the Mission Thrift Stores is devoted to the Joint Ministry of BFM Foundation (Canada) and Bible League Canada.

These funds are used to establish adult literacy programs, provide church planter training, children's ministry programs, and distribute Bibles in many places around the world.

The store is operated primarily by dedicated volunteers.

Mission Thrift Store Ponoka is currently seeking a Part time/Full time Warehouse Receiver who understands and supports the vision and purpose of BFM Foundation (Canada).

Receiver will report directly to the General Manager - Ponoka.

Responsibilities and Objectives of Position:

Creating an exceptional customer shopping/donation experience
Creating a cooperative, rewarding work experience for volunteers and staff
Overseeing all aspects of the receiving and processing of donations to departments
Organization and supervision of receiving area, including a large amount of frontline work accepting donations
Spokesperson for Ponoka Mission Thrift Store Core Values and Mission Statement

Qualifications:

Receiver must reflect Christ in his/her behavior and be vibrant, passionate, having an entrepreneurial spirit
Comfortable in leading prayer at the beginning of each day when asked
Experience in working with volunteers/staff
Understand or have inventory control, customer service, pricing, and delegation and motivation understanding
Lifting items over 50 lbs lift furniture, carry and bend good
Excellent verbal communication skills
Professionalism and respect
Displays a high level of trustworthiness and integrity
Have good conflict resolution skills
Handle issues and information with discretion and appropriate confidentiality

Experience:
Labour and warehouse experience in a retail setting; experience with non-profit/voluntary sector, Supervisor/Management would be considered an asset.

Working Conditions:

The Receiver will be working in a labour position in the warehouse; both indoors and outdoors, with Saturdays as a requirement.

Salary:
$16.00-$18.00 per hour
