Qualifications

  • Postsecondary degree/diploma in a business, health sciences or other related field
  • Experience in overall supply chain functions required, including buying using formal tendering processes
  • Good communication, customer service and organizational skills required, with the ability to learn quickly, prioritize and multitask in a highpaced, productivity demanding environment
  • Experience with computerized systems for purchasing, inventory management, distribution and control required
  • Intermediate to advanced level of computer knowledge and experience required
  • Attention to detail, and strong keyboarding skills required
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Must be physically capable of working in an office environment, on a computer, and at a desk, for the great majority of the day
  • Valid driver's license, adequate insurance and use of personal vehicle
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work
  • Completed courses through the Purchasing Managers Association of Canada (PMAC)
  • Completed courses through the Ontario Public Buyers Association (OPBA)
  • Experience working with Health Pro and/or Medbuy
  • Strong working knowledge and familiarity with medical supplies and medical equipment
  • Experience with ORMED Purchasing/Finance software

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Criminal Record and Judicial Matters Check (CRJMC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
