- Must be a graduate of an accredited School of Radiological Technology
- Canadian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) certification
- Nova Scotia College of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy Professionals (NSCMIRTP) licensure
- CAMRT CT courses or CT Imaging Certificate an asset
- CT experience preferred
- Current CPR an asset
- IV experience preferred or willing to be trained in intravenous injection and will be required to use a contrast injector
- A high degree of mental, visual, and manual dexterity is required
- Works independently and as a health care team member to ensure exceptional patient care
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
- Permanent full-time position; 75 hours biweekly
- Call and shift work required, evenings, nights, and weekends

About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Diagnostic Imaging Manager, the Technologist is responsible for the efficient operation of the CT scanners located throughout the Cape Breton Regional. S/he will organize and perform computed tomography examinations in an efficient and professional manner.
The Technologist positions the patient to obtain high quality images; operates equipment safety while following radiation protection guidelines, practices sterile techniques when required and performs clerical duties related to the handling of the customer.
