    Our client


    Our client is one of the world's largest companies providing quality automotive parts to international automobile manufacturers. Currently, we are seeking an experienced Maintenance Millwright to join the team.

    Position Details

    • Position: Full-time, Permanent
    • Location: Scarborough (Markham Rd & Finch Ave E)
    • Work Schedule: Days (6:45am - 3:00pm) and Afternoon (3:15pm - 11:30pm)
    • Certification: 426A/433A

    Job-specific requirements


    Must have stamping press experience

    Job Duties


    1. Report any safety hazards immediately to Asst Maintenance Manager / Lead Hand / Plant Manager.
    2. Ensures and abides by company's Lockout procedures at all times including using Ram Block when press is being cleaned or repaired.
    3. Ensures and abides by Guarding procedures at all times.
    4. Adhere to Forklift Pedestrian guidelines at all times.
    5. Assists in maintaining adequate hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic spare part inventory levels in stock room.
    6. Fabricates frames, platforms, and other structural components by utilizing mig, tig, and arc welding equipment.
    7. Helps to maintain adequate hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic spare part inventory levels in stock room.
    8. Improves hydraulic pneumatics circuits and systems regarding stoppage of leaks, cleanliness of hydraulic oil, replacement of untidy pipes and hoses, etc.
    9. Passes on information, experiences, and knowledge to other maintenance associates regarding repair jobs, preventive maintenance, problem symptoms, etc.
    10. Listens to information, experiences, and knowledge passed on by previous shift maintenance employees to ensure effective, non-repetitious problem-solving and machine repair.
    11. Performing preventative maintenance on electrical and mechanical equipment following standardized procedures.
    12. Performs basic electrical troubleshooting tasks and is familiar with changing fuses and electrical switches.
    13. Repairs and replaces hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic components such as cylinders, pumps, motors, valves, pipes, hoses, filters, gearboxes, bearings, assemblies, etc.
    14. Responsible for entering work data information accurately and in a timely fashion in Maintenance Tracking system.
    15. Responsible for escalating problem jobs to lead hand / Asst Maintenance Manager / Plant Manager.

    Job Requirements

    • Must possess a Valid Ontario or Inter-provincial 426A/433A Millwright Certificate.
    • Minimum of three years as a Licensed Millwright in an automotive environment, preferably stamping and welding.
    • Good working knowledge of troubleshooting and repairing stamping presses and welding equipment.
    • Good communication skills both verbal and in writing.
    • Valid forklift License.
    • Excellent teamwork.

    Work Conditions


    Exposed to hazards associated with the trade. Physical ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Manual dexterity and the ability to remain standing, crouching, or bending for long periods of time. Able to handle stressful situations. Able to work at heights. May be exposed to hot/cold temperatures.
