- Responsible for maintaining the IATF Procedures and Instructions within the department.
- Develop an annual maintenance plan, ensure proper completion of scheduling of major plant projects, plant shutdown maintenance program, quoting of estimated hours of downtime required for repairing breakdowns and provide necessary updates to facility management.
- Ensures procedures are in place to properly expedite lead-time items with suppliers and responsible for inventory control system with maximum and minimum limits for all plant equipment.
- Oversee the implementation of ongoing and preventative maintenance and AMPC / Megamation.
- Responsible for the scheduling and assigning of daily duties of all employees in the department and reviews completed work for conformance to standards and to ensure production is on schedule.
- Responsible for maintaining safe working conditions and practices to ensure the safety of the employees. Ensures that all employees know how to perform each job assigned to them in an efficient manner and that they are fully aware of the correct and safe way to operate their equipment. Ensures that all employees are instructed on the use and comply with Company standards on the use of personal protective equipment.
- Develops employees by ensuring that they receive training in the areas of equipment, safety and any other areas that will help them to excel in their assignments. Challenges the status quo, implements creative and innovative solutions, and reviews completed work for conformance to standards.
- Responsible for providing clear and specific performance feedback. Developing others and improve employees' performance through coaching, training and development activities
- Industrial Millwright/Mechanic trade certification or Industrial Electrician trade certification with strong mechanical background.
- Solid background in industrial maintenance involving electrical, mechanical and e-coat processes would be an asset.
- Experience working with boilers and related equipment with be an asset.
- Familiar with automatic production equipment, robotics, PLC's, assembly welding and process piping would be an asset.
- Ideally have three or more years related supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to operate PC (Microsoft) based and other manufacturing related software.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and experience in administering collective agreements would be an asset.
