BUILDING AUTOMATION TECHNICIAN
Dynamic Building Control - Winnipeg, MB
- Report to and effectively execute directions received from the lead controls technician.
- Design and create custom control logic programs and graphical user interfaces.
- Install, test and commission building automation controls on assigned projects.
- Create and compile technical documents including submittals, control drawings, IOMs and service reports.
- Provide training sessions for customers.
- Respond to customers emergency service calls onsite or remotely through software.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose controls issues to determine the best course of action for resolution.
- Complete service repairs, replacements, upgrades and adjustments.
- Work a flexible schedule and travel out of town on occasion.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Beneficial Skills and Requirements:
- Demonstrate excellent technical aptitude.
- Proficient computer skills (Outlook, Excel, etc).
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and systems.
- Able to interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans or other technical documents.
- Familiarity with building HVAC and control systems.
- Dedication to customer service and support.
- Strong organization and problemsolving abilities.
- Motivated team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Class 5 drives license and valid passport.
Education / Training:
- Postsecondary education in instrumentation and control or electrical engineering technology.
Salary:
$25.00-$40.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
