The Fix, a beautiful ice cream shop right by the boardwalk of Lake Ontario is looking for
Team Members/Cashiers to join our growing team.

Experience in similar environments or QSR is preferred but not required.


Hourly rate commensurate based on skill level.

This location only operates days, nights and weekends.

Essential Duties

  • As a The Fix team member you are our guests' first experience it is our expectation that you engage with our customers in a friendly manner.
  • Take orders from customers accurately and with a positive attitude.
  • Input orders into POS system and cash out customers.
  • Ability to make suggestions, and answer questions for customers regarding our menu.
  • Handle card and cash transactions.
  • Serve and prepare all menu items by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive.
  • Required to prep menu items before and after service in tasks like portioning food and simple preparations, refilling stations, and necessary stock.
  • Adhere to safety and sanitation procedures.
  • Put supplier deliveries away, plus any additional duties assigned by manager.
  • Accurately communicate with kitchen and managers about prepping and stock.
  • Perform opening and closing duties as assigned by the manager. (including cleaning)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must possess dexterity to handle soft serve machines, scooping ice cream, making milkshakes.
  • Must be comfortable working in temperatures ranging from hot to cold.
  • Basic food preparation skills, able to follow simple recipes.
  • Dedication to arriving on time for shifts.
  • Knowledge of Menu, preparations, and potential allergens.
  • Experience providing excellent customer service.
  • Experience with Touch Bistro POS preferred.
  • Protects establishment and patrons by adhering to sanitation, safety control policies.
  • Able to handle money accurately (including finishing cash outs properly)
  • Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and customer services skills.
  • Pays close attention to detail.
  • Exhibits excellent organizational skills.
  • Maintains professional but friendly demeanor.
  • Is capable of remaining patient and polite when speaking to frustrated guests.
  • Communicates clearly and effectively.
  • A positive attitude and ability work well under pressure with other team members
  • Able to perform highquality work while unsupervised.
  • Maintain the appearance and cleanliness of all areas of The Fix and the whole restaurant.
  • Smart Serve certificate is a requirement

Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal

Contract length: 6 months


Pay:
From $16.55 per hour
