We are seeking an experienced
Managing Consultant, System Optimization to join our System Optimization team and lead a team of data analysts.

As the
Managing Consultant, System Optimization, you will be responsible for managing and directing the data analyst team in their analytical tasks, as well as providing strategic analytical leadership to support operational improvements and digital transformations.

In this role, you will work at the Central City office located in Surrey, B.C. - an ideal location with access to rapid transit, on site-gym and shopping services as well as other amenities.


Job duties:


  • Manage and lead a team of data analysts in the analysis and interpretation of complex data sets, with a focus on setting up a solid architectural foundation in data QA/QC and data modelling. Prior managerial experience in leading analytical teams is preferred.
  • Collaborate with data infrastructure leaders to develop data models that optimize the ETLs from raw data to reporting, and facilitate the interpretation of complex data sets by nontechnical stakeholders
  • Develop strategic products to promote democratization of data and selfserve analytics to operational leaders and clinicians
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as PowerBI; stay uptodate with the latest data analytics tools and techniques and recommend changes to processes as appropriate
  • Experience with Cloud Analytics
  • Experience with Agile product management; manage and prioritize projects, ensuring that deadlines are met and the team is working efficiently
  • Foster a culture of datadriven decision making and continuous improvement within the team and the broader organization

Detailed Overview:

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

Provides leadership in the analysis of complex systems and processes by extracting, compiling, processing, interpreting, and at times creating new data in order to develop knowledge-based information about the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall value of existing systems across Fraser Health (FH).


Primary functions include mapping, quantifying, and describing processes and systems that support or impact the patient journey through the health system, quantifying supply and demand throughout the system, identifying system and process barriers, guiding associated quantitative analysis, assessing and recommending solutions, participating in the implementation of initiatives, project management and change management.

Provides leadership and management to a designated group of consultants.

As part of the leadership team, works with many partners within this portfolio and across multiple portfolios, to design or redesign systems and processes that promote streamlined patient flow, are efficient for the organization, improve or maintain quality service delivery, and are integrated with adjacent systems.


Responsibilities:


  • Provides leadership, supervision, and work direction to a team of consultants to collect and interpret data in order to provide a comprehensive understanding of the system and answer given questions or to generate new questions about system efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Works collaboratively with various FH teams to identify and quantify system, structural, and process barriers that impede the patient journey, negatively affect patient outcome or are inefficient.
  • Designs processes and systems which are evidencebased and solution oriented; participates in the strategic and operational planning and oversees resulting projects and initiatives.
