We are currently seeking a
Business Development Specialist to join our Travel Insurance team.

Reporting to the Business Senior Manager, the Business Development Specialist will bring a strong background in sales, and customer service to support our business development initiatives throughout the organization.

This is a full-time, permanent position.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with broker contracting, including annual reviews
  • Manage Student & Group accounts
  • Verify claim status for the day to day team on the True plans
  • Manage Broker relationships and assist with Broker communications
  • Drive organic growth by sales opportunities
  • Assist with developing a stronger brand recognition and market presence
  • Develop community contacts through networking to assist with Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Any other tasks that may required

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Able to work independently as well as within a team, in a dynamic office setting
  • Strong skills in communication (verbal, written and listening), timemanagement, multitasking, attention to detail, problem analysis/solving and overall work ethic
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to change with a forwardthinking mindset, offering solutions and creative thinking

Knowledge/Experience

  • Travel Insurance experience preferred and considered an asset, but not required
  • Would be a great opportunity if you have experience as a Travel Agent or Travel Agency background
  • Strong computer and typing skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must be eligible to work in Canada


Our business hours of operation are Monday to Thursday 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.

Hours may vary upon the needs of the company.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$42,000.00-$52,000.00 per year
