Summary
Reporting to the Automation & Control Supervisor, the purpose of the Electrical Engineering Intern includes, but is not limited to, assisting in the design of automation, electrical and control systems based on customer specifications. The internship student is a fundamental asset to the engineering process bringing innovation and ingenuity to the team. The successful candidate will manage a wide variety of tasks in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
This is a
16-month internship
with a
target start in May 2026
.
With a foundation of integrity, the candidate would use commitment and creativity to drive our organization forward. This position is based out of the Enerflex Southeast Calgary office at th St SE, Calgary.
*Principle Responsibilities and Duties*
Under the supervision of a Senior Engineer or an Engineering Lead the successful candidate can expect to:
- Communicate with clients and vendors
- Prepare engineering documents and manuals
- Troubleshoot electrical systems
- Control panel testing
- Produce and review technical documents
Qualifications
- 3rd year of Electrical Engineering complete
- Ability to work independently
- Strong verbal and communication skills
- Aptitude to learn new skills
- Proficient with Microsoft office
- Experience with AutoCAD, P&ID drawings and Canadian electrical code would be a definite asset
