About the Job

The Focus Factory Leader position will be responsible for directing the manufacturing operations in a manner that is compliant with all applicable international, federal, state and local laws and regulations.

The Focus Factory Leader is responsible for end-to-end process, equipment, materials, and employees within the assigned Focus Factory.

The Focus Factory leader is accountable for delivering uninterrupted and unconstrained flow of compliant product, while meeting Cost of Goods standards for all the products produced within the Focus Factory.

This role is also responsible for developing teams that will aid in defining and driving manufacturing transformation linked to company and site level long term strategic objectives, near term business targets, and improvement of existing processes at the Ceva Guelph Campus.

We are seeking a pro-active, energetic, self-assured professional with high personal integrity and ability to develop strong interpersonal relationships. This position will report directly to the Site Director of the Ceva Guelph Campus.

Responsibilities

Managing Production

Has full ownership on the end to end value stream process (MPS) and ensure flow optimization. Put together roadmap for his/her units (12 to 18 months).
Responsible for overseeing both Vaccine Manufacturing operations at different locations for 1 year).
Lead tier 2 and 3 (crossfunctional QA).
Participate in site master plan design.

Leadership:

Provide a clear vision for the integration of all the areas within the Focus Factory
Lead effort to align organization goals with the Focus Factory goals (People, Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost)
Inspires, motivates, empowers and encourages engagement of team members to achieve the Focus Factory goals
Lead by example. "Roll up sleeves" and demonstrate the required behaviors of the Ceva Production System (CPS) by performing the work needed to drive a high performing organization
Develop Leaders within the Focus Factory to ensure a robust pipeline of talent for succession planning
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentoring to all teams within the Industrial Manufacturing function.
Support the leadership team of the Ceva Guelph Campus in deployment of any transformation change management initiatives, strategic long term planning, and annual budget planning across the campus through coaching, mentoring, and full engagement across all functions.

Budget and Cost Control:

Is responsible for the full value stream P&L.
Build/ consolidate the budget for validation at campus level.
Establish productivity targets and propose cost optimization (including opex & capex) liaising with other functions (QA, ).
Challenge practices & continuous standards to be best in class. Implement and develop relevant KPIs and performance management tools in order to respect and improve efficiency standards.

Compliance and Safeguard:

Safeguard compliance across the entire Value Stream (quality, safety.)
Make sure there's no backlog in deviation.
Prioritize deviation management.
Is part of the QA committee and safety committee.
Is responsible for documentation availability.
Is ready for inspections & fulfill postaudit commitments.
Deploy training roadmap with QA & safety & HSE.

Drive continuous improvement by leveraging the cross functionality of the Focus Factory to develop effective solutions, identify and remove obstacles, and share/implement best practices
Ensure the execution of the deployment plan and the implementation of CPS standards within the value stream.
Drive Go See and Kaizen Event activities, including identification of opportunities that are aligned with key business goals
Prioritizes and evaluates continuous improvement opportunities based on their impact to the Focus Factory & organization goals
Provide timely recognition for demonstrating continuous improvement behaviors and outstanding results
Ensure compliance to all regulatory agencies while ensuring manufacture of products with a Quality and Safety focus. This would require the support, and full involvement with, internal and external Quality and Regulatory audits.
