What you'll be doing


As a member of CIBC's Technology Operations Services team, the Director, Business Effectiveness will be responsible for providing advice and consultation for regulatory and Industry best practices.

The role provides technical leadership, interpreting complex information and leading the technology risk stream of compliance and risk assessment programs.

The role manages the response for the Technology Domain in accordance with CIBC's Regulatory Compliance Management Policy and Technology Risk Management Policy.

In doing so, the Director will monitor the regulatory and industry best practice landscape impacting CIBC from a technology perspective and ensure such developments are assessed, managed, and tracked in our central repository.

How you'll succeed- Understanding Regulatory and Industry Best Practices - Work closely with internal and external partners to assess complex requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure needs are met.

Build strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

Primarily working with Technology and Information Security but will have opportunities working with other lines of business as well.- Solution Design - Build and maintain compliance programs that meet regulatory and best practice requirements.
