Chef de Partie, Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar

The Role:


The Chef de Partie, Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar will report directly to the Head Chef, Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar and will support the Sous Chefs and Head Chef to lead the culinary management for the Gather Craft Kitchen & Bar along with The Leaf Coffee Bar.

This position will be responsible to assist in the supervision of all kitchen line and prep cooks including training and developing BOH employees.

The Chef de Partie supports the Sous Chefs to manage the line and ensure kitchen staff follow all health and safety regulations.

This position requires attention to detail, ability to establish priorities and the capacity to organize workflow with a high degree of accuracy to deliver an excellent culinary experience for Gather guests.


The Chef de Partie will support the Gather Head Chef to help determine menus, identify necessary ingredients, ordering, inventory to delivery on Gather's unique culinary guest experience.

This position must work flexible hours as required in order to coordinate and execute best-in-class culinary experiences.


Salary range:
$18.28 plus tips, dependent on experience


Required EDUCATION, TRAINING, LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Enrollment in a Culinary Arts program (working towards Culinary Education Trade Papers or Red Seal) would be preferred.
  • Certifications as required to comply with provincial regulations.
  • Food Handler Certification.
  • A valid Manitoba Class 5 Driver's License is considered an asset.

Required EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a Chef de Partie position.
  • Minimum 5 years combined kitchen experience.
  • Thorough background in line cooking and contemporary ontrend restaurant dining.
  • Extensive knowledge of food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Proficiency with computer programs including Microsoft Office software and Optimum Control.
  • A combination of education and experience will be considered.
