The Opportunity


Ready to make an impact at Ballad and take a career transforming role? As a Marketing Specialist, you'll play a pivotal role in furthering our brand's journey, co-leading our marketing strategy and driving measurable growth.

Reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Impact and Strategy, you'll dive into a collaborative environment, working with internal and external partners to achieve our marketing goals.

Your creativity will shine as you craft compelling content while aligning seamlessly with our brand identity.

You'll be the driving force behind our social media presence, working hand-in-hand with external graphic designers to ensure our message resonates with our audience.

You'll have the opportunity to collaborate closely with the Senior Manager of Impact and the Director of Operations & Strategy, shaping strategic initiatives and targets that drive our mission forward.

Your insights and expertise will be integral to our decision-making process, as you work alongside these key leaders to chart the course for our marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation: Utilize the Ballad brand guide to develop engaging, informative content that resonates with Ballad's target audience, including copy, images and video. Drive content marketing campaigns from idea to execution, creating content on your own and leveraging partners as needed. Content will generate new leads, achieve our program recruitment targets and support our regional and national growth targets.

Social Media Management:Lead and execute the day-to-day social media multi-platform strategy and content calendar (Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn) to drive engagement and achieve growth targets. Coordinate with external graphic designers when required to ensure regular social media posts across various platforms, maintaining consistency and quality.

Advertising and Media Buying:Coordinate media buying to promote workforce development program recruitment, lead all advertising campaigns with respective contractors and staff, and monitor affiliated budgets.

Marketing Planning:Work closely with the Senior Manager of Impact and the Director of Operations & Strategy to develop strategic marketing initiatives and targets that drive growth and brand elevation.

Marketing Analytics:Establish, collect and report on key performance metrics and analyze them to find areas of improvement, optimization and value for Ballad's target audience.

Event Management:Support with internal event coordination, and identify opportunities for external event participation.

Public Relations: Support with the identification of public relation opportunities, and develop content as required to support Ballad's media and brand awareness targets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Engage with internal teams across different functions to integrate marketing efforts into overall business objectives and ensure alignment.

Project Management: Lead and/or contribute to marketing projects, ensuring timely execution and successful delivery within budget constraints.

Relationship Management:Cultivate and maintain relationships with external partners, including graphic designers, marketing agencies, and other vendors, to support marketing activities effectively.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or a related field.
  • Proven 5 years of experience in marketing roles with a focus on content creation, social media management, advertising, and marketing intelligence. Marketing agency and B2B marketing experience is considered an asset.
  • A keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail, with the ability to align with the Ballad brand.
  • Excellent design acumen including proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Canva and other design tools.
