We are recruiting for casual Addiction Crisis Worker positions at Balmoral Centre. We provide medically monitored withdrawal management services to men and women over the age of 16.

Working as a member of an interdisciplinary team, the Addiction Crisis Worker facilitates admissions and transitions, supportive intervention during withdrawal and stabilization and facilitates group programming.

This is a rewarding role working as part of a team to provide client-centred care in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:


  • Minimum two (2) years post secondary education in a Human Services field (eg. addictions, social work, psychology) and/or a combination of addictions training and previous working experience in an addiction field
  • Previous experience in Behaviour Management
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience with computerbased data entry is an asset
  • Class G Driver's Licence and adequate insurance
  • Demonstrated regular attendance at work

CONDITION OF EMPLOYMENT

  • This position shall be conditional upon a satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) where indicated, to ensure the absence of relevant criminal convictions.
