Description

We are a window covering manufacturer located in Scarborough. We are in need of an accounting bookkeeper for permanent full-time employment.

Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements with the External Accountants.
Completing payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
Reconcile company credit cards with corresponding purchases and payments.
Managing bank and general ledger reconciliations including posting of journal entries and adjusting entries as necessary.
Responsible in creating domestic and foreign bank transfer.
Ensures timely and accurate payroll processing.
Comply with all local, provincial, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
Act as a Petty Custodian of the company.
Coordinating and managing the inbound and outbound for domestic and international shipments.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Post-Secondary degree or diploma, in a related field is an asset
23+ years experience with bookkeeping.
Advanced accounting software skills (i.e. Sage50, QuickBooks).
Proficient use in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Customer service oriented with strong interpersonal skills.
Effective written and oral communication.
Ability to work effectively both independently as well as within a team.

Experience:

Accounting: 3 years (preferred)

This position also requires helping office admin answer phone calls, speak with customers, place orders, processing payments, price quotes.

Pay:
From $20.00 per hour
