Drayton Valley has an exciting opportunity for a Health Care Aide to join their Acute Care nursing team As a Health Care Aide, you will be an important member of a multidisciplinary health care team, demonstrating genuine interest and respect for the clients.

To be successful in this position you will demonstrate excellent communication and observational skills, report changes in client care needs and condition to the LPN or RN.

As an HCA and member of our nursing care team, you will demonstrate genuine interest and respect for our residents and utilize your knowledge, skills, and abilities to competently provide direct patient and family centered care.

Drayton Valley is located in the Central Zone, just 133 km southwest of Edmonton and 172 km northwest of Red Deer.

The town has a population of over 7,000.

In and around the area are a library, movie theatre, bowling alley, camping areas, 6 golf courses, and a ski hill.

The Omniplex encompasses three multi-purpose recreation facilities, all under one roof.

Conveniently located in the heart of Lions West Valley Park, the Omniplex is surrounded by five baseball diamonds, a soccer field, the rodeo grounds, a secluded day-use park and a 40-site full-service RV Park.


Description:


As a Health Care Aide (HCA), you are responsible for providing personal assistance, supporting activities of daily living and providing comfort and support services to patients (clients, residents) who require short-term assistance or ongoing support.

You will work closely with patients, families, and caregivers spanning the continuum of care in home, community or health care facilities.

You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
