Job Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled individual to join our team as a COOK.

As a COOK, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting with meal preparation and ensuring food safety standards are met.

Duties:


  • Assist with meal preparation, including chopping ingredients, measuring portions, and following recipes.
  • Cook and prepare food items according to established standards and recipes.
  • Handle food safely and maintain proper hygiene practices.
  • Help maintain a clean and organized kitchen area.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations during service hours.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Plan menus, determine size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and monitor and order supplies
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize and manage buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations

Qualifications:

  • 2 TO 3 YEARS EXPERIENCE
  • Knowledge of food handling, preparation techniques, and kitchen equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes accurately
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fastpaced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
  • Basic understanding of food safety regulations and practices
    Salary: $17.50$20.00 per hour
