    The Ambassador Bridge is looking for Full Time Operations Supervisor to join our outstanding management group in Windsor Ontario.

    • Operations Supervisors work a 28-day rotational 12-hour schedule on either day or midnight shift. Each set of shifts during the rotational schedule will always be separated by 3 to 7 consecutive days off, which will vary based on shift cycle.

    Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

    • Strong customer service skills
    • Positive attitude and communication
    • Operate company vehicles as necessary to from location to location
    • Professionally and effectively communicate with staff
    • Perform other projects and duties assigned by upper management
    • Interacting with members of the public and outside agencies
    • Ability to stand, walk, and sit for varying times during shift up to 12 hours
    • Ability to lift, bend, push, pull and twist for varying times during shift up to 12 hours
    • Report current traffic and weather conditions, and ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations
    • Monitor traffic flow and construction projects to coordinate lane configurations and employee coverage
    • Interact with the public, contractors, tenants and outside government agencies
    • Assign and train employees for toll, traffic and general maintenance positions
    • Monitor attendance, productivity, and other performance standards and provide coaching and counseling to associates
    • Prepare employee documents
    • Assist in filling in for subordinate functions during emergency situations
    • Monitor traffic flow and construction projects to coordinate lane configurations and employee coverage
    • Supervise the processing of toll collections

    The Ideal candidate should possess the following:

    • Able to tolerate varying climates of heat, cold, rain and snow
    • Self-motivated to work independently as well as part of a team
    • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid Driver's License

    Requirements:

    • Successful and satisfactory completion of background check and drug test
    • Verification of references
    • Satisfactory driving record
    • Ability to cross and international border
    • Possession of, or ability to obtain, an enhanced driver's license, passport or Nexus card
    • Must be 18 years of age
    • Availability to work all days and shifts for a 24/7 operation
    • High level oral and written communication skills
    • High level analytical ability for problem solving
    • High level interpersonal skills to work effectively with all levels of the organization
    • Must have ability to work efficiently with time management and organizational skills
    • Experience supervising at least 5 – 10 employees
    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Associates or Bachelor's degrees in Business or related degree preferred
    • Experience supervising employees in a union environment a plus
