    In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)

    EDUCATION

    • Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with specialization in a natural, physical or applied science relevant to the position's duties.

    ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

    • Experience in scientific field work and/or laboratory projects.
    • Experience in information assessment on natural resource management or conservation.
    • Experience in leading working teams and projects with internal or external partners.
    • Experience in developing analysis methodologies for biological samples.
    • BI-03 POSITIONS ONLY
      • Experience in managing financial or material resources.
      • Experience in supervising the work of others.
      • Experience in providing science-based advice for decision-making.
      • Experience in leading scientific research proposals.
      • Experience in peer-reviewed scientific publications or reports.

      EDUCATION

      • Post-graduate degree from a recognized university in a natural, physical or applied science relevant to the position.

      • Ability to work at sea for extended periods in various conditions.
      • Willingness to travel by air, land, or sea.
      • SCUBA diving certification.
      • Electrofishing certification.
      • Pleasure Craft Operator certification and/or Small Vessel Operator Proficiency certification.

      Conditions of employment

      Reliability Status security clearance

      • Health Canada Medical certification.
      • Valid driver's license or ability to obtain one.
      • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
      • Ability to work at sea or in the field for extended periods in various conditions.
      • Operating various vehicles and vessels.
      • Travel.
