Are you an experienced forklift operator with a passion for boats and a knack for precise maneuvering? Legend Boats, is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for moving boats and placing them in designated areas within our facility, ensuring the utmost care and attention to detail.

  • Works outdoors in all weather conditions
  • Has excellent handeye coordination and spatial awareness for efficient and safe material handling
  • Is proficient in safely maneuvering and operating different types of forklifts, such as counterbalance, reach, and pallet jacks
  • Proactively approaches identifying and resolving potential safety hazards or equipment malfunctions
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic and reliability to meet productivity targets and deadlines
  • Effectively communicates with team members and supervisors

Some of what you will be doing:

  • Creating memorable experiences for our customers and the company
  • Working with the team to keep the boats in the Yard organized
  • Ensure all parts are unloaded, accounted for, and staged into the appropriate areas
  • Continually demonstrate a positive attitude, an understanding of our culture, illustrate a team player mentality, and display the willingness to learn throughout the working tenure as determined by your immediate supervisor and team feedback
  • Follow all safety guidelines and regulations in place at all times. Safety is a priority in this role
  • Will work with the coordinator to assist the department in the efficiency of product flow via adequate and timely product staging
  • Load any possible return shipments or product during regular business requirements or for shows
  • Will conduct daily yard walkthroughs to protect clients and our stock product from weatherrelated possible damages. IE Snow or water load buildup, ensuring all product is wheel locked in place for wind protection, and identify any items of concern to the Lead hand of possible exposure

To be eligible for this role, you must be able to:

  • Safely operate equipment
  • Provide a
    valid driver's license at the time of hire and maintain an insurable abstract through our companies insurance provider (required to use the company vehicles)
  • Tow boat packages for various business requirements

Salary:
$20-25 per hour, depending on experience and skill level
