- Prepares, performs, reports and records a variety of standardized and/or complex procedures, with attention to the welfare and comfort of the patient.
- Reports any recognized unusual or abnormal findings to the Radiologist
- Responsible for the operation and basic maintenance of all digital equipment. Report any findings to immediate supervisor.
- DI equipment: technologists must have a working knowledge of equipment to ensure that the units are functioning correctly.
- Responsible for safety measures and the general care and cleanliness of the radiographic area.
- Knowledge of computer system and all DI office duties.
- Instructs patients on various examinations as requested.
- Able to assist in the instruction of new staff members and students.
- Maintains quality control in the performance of all procedures.
- Willing to assist a Radiologist or fellow staff member as required.
- Notify supervisor of any equipment or supply problems.
- Must maintain the utmost in professional confidence of patient information and/or results.
- Performs other duties as required.
