Reporting through the Office of Government's Chief Information Officer, the Corporate Information and Record Management Office (CIRMO) is the central agency responsible for leading and enabling modern information management (IM) across the BC Public Service, including privacy, access, and records management.

CIRMO defines effective government IM through strategies, legislation, policies, and standards. CIRMO enables ministries and public bodies by delivering IM operations and training, and by providing tools to assess compliance.

The Enterprise Document and Records Management System (EDRMS) Business Services program is located in the Government Records Service (GRS) branch of CIRMO.

EDRMS Business Services provides business end leadership, promotion and management of the government standard EDRMS used by over 6,000 users across 20 ministries (e.g. the system currently known as Content Manager). Application management functions include both new implementations and ongoing support (end user help desk, data integrity, system administration).

The EDRMS Configuration Analyst works collaboratively with Government Records Service (GRS) staff to help clients use the EDRMS to support their management of electronic records and physical records.

Under the direction of the EDRMS Business Services Manager, the position works collaboratively to ensure the EDRMS is configured to enable client ministries and agencies to fully utilize and rely upon the system in the management of their information assets as required by the Information Management Act and other applicable legislation, policy, standards and procedures.
