Human Resource Manager


Job Overview
Quartz Co has an exciting new opportunity for an individual seeking a Human Resources role in a growing company.

We currently have 125 employees in 7 locations throughout Ontario.

You would manage various functions including Recruiting, Hiring and Onboarding, Employee Benefits, Training, and Employee Recognition.


Job Duties & Responsibilities:


  • Partners with the leadership team to understand and execute the organizations human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, onboarding, retention, performance management and compensation
  • Conducts the talent acquisition process, which may include recruitment, interviewing, and onboarding of qualified job applicants; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Guides, develops and ensures the leadership team is practicing and following the appropriate labour relations processes, company policies, procedures, and legislations, as required.
  • Provides support and guidance to the leadership team when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise
  • Conducts employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Creates or ensures that internal human resources processes are documented and revised, continuously seeking to make improvements that yield in the overall success of the business.
  • Analyzes trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
  • Reports on internal human resources statistics and reviews the data to identify areas for improvements or enhancements within the process.
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
  • Manages and executes the Health & Safety Reporting requirements.
  • Manages weekly payroll.
  • Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.

Minimum Job Qualifications:


  • 57 years in a HR Manager, HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role.
  • Previous HR experience in a consulting, project management and/or manufacturing environment ideal.
  • Experience in multidisciplinary, multisite organizations is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational development and change management is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills; ability to assess situations and make decisions based on data while drawing from previous experience.
  • Proven organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Strong written and verbal communication; must be a clear and concise communicator.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Thorough knowledge of employmentrelated laws and regulations.

Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
