Description

Duties

  • Operate standup standard (Raymond Reach) as well as sitdown propane forklifts; follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
  • Use a warehouse management system (Fishbowl) to enter receiving reports or shipments
  • Store goods in bulk racks, double deep rack, and standard warehouse racking
  • Load and unload trailers with a forklift or hand jigger if needed
  • Unload containers (20' 40')
  • Palletize and shrink wrap goods
  • Perform
    receiving duties including, but not limited to:
  • Verify accuracy of warehouse deliveries by comparing to purchase orders, inspect items for damage
  • Communicate to management when incoming loads arrive without proper documentation/paperwork or do not match PO
  • Perform
    shipping duties including, but not limited to:
  • Prepare orders within a timely manner according to packing list, generate BOL from the warehouse software, ensure all basic shipping protocols are completed
  • Picking and packing orders, verify items while ensuring accuracy of the order
  • Ensure space in trailers is maximized
  • Manage the warehouse's inventory by ensuring space in warehouse is maximized, pallets are coded and identified and inventory is accurate
  • Take initiative to perform regular inventory audits as well as spot checks, as required
  • Ensure the warehouse operates at peak efficiency, with customer satisfaction being the primary goal, by organizing, monitoring and working meticulously
  • Keep shipping, packaging and stock areas organized and neat; manage stock rotation (first in first out)

Qualifications

  • Minimum 35 years of experience working in a warehouse environment and driving a forklift (3PL warehouse, an asset)
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse operations
  • Experience using Warehouse Management systems (Fishbowl, an asset) and hardware (handheld scanners, label printers)
  • Team leader experience; small team
  • Fluent in English and/or French
  • A valid forklift license
  • Ability to lift items up to 50lbs

Salary:
$21.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
