About this Role

Can you lead and inspire a team of data professionals varying in size and complexity? This people manager role is responsible for the direction of day-to-day data governance and data management activities, for a key function or line of business.

As a Manager, Data Steward, you will:

Provide people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing employees, managing performance and stimulating teamwork
Lead and manage a team of data experts and overall operation of a diverse group in an area of moderate risk, complexity and scope
Lead the team in the development and integrated implementation of policies, processes, procedures, projects and changes across multiple functions
Help build and deploy the strategic direction of the data governance/management function within your line of business
Act as a strategic partner by leading relationships with key enterprise partners and with leadership team to clarify scope, align, influence and effectively manage assigned data governance / management area
In particular, partner closely with Technology and other SMEs to drive the successful implementation of the LOBs Data Strategy for data initiatives up to medium complexity
Manage the overall data governance and / or data management team or function for a key business which may include Data Governance and / or Data Management roles
Grow talent, by developing skills and capabilities in line with evolving trends in the data governance space, to help achieve team member career goals, support project success and achieve business results
Complete key courses for the EDS capabilities within the EDU, including annual Mastery Testing

Requirements:

What can you bring to TD? Share your most relevant experience, credentials and knowledge for this role, as well as these essential requirements and attributes:

Undergraduate degree or technical certificate
Seven (7) or more years relevant experience
Ability to stay on top of emerging issues, trends and risks, including evolving regulatory requirements
Ability to work multifunctionally, communicate positively and professionally in both spoken and written form, provide assistance or guidance to other team members and build positive relationships across teams and functions
