Description
Our Youth Sport Program is one of the larger ones in Red Deer Alberta.

We are dedicated to providing a positive and inclusive environment for young athletes to develop their skills, sportsmanship, and teamwork through sport.

As a volunteer-based organization, we rely on passionate individuals who are committed to supporting the growth and success of our club.


Role Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and visionary individual to join us.

They would play a critical role in leading and managing our board members to ensure the efficient operation of all aspects of the club.

This position requires a deep understanding of sports seasons, event planning, administrative tasks, and organizational strategies.


Responsibilities:

Leadership: Provide strong leadership to the board, coaches, and volunteers, fostering a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and accountability.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance the club's programs, operations, and community impact.

Board Management: Coordinate board meetings, agendas, and communications, ensuring that board members are engaged and aligned with the club's mission and goals.

Financial Oversight: Work closely with the Treasurer to develop and monitor the club's budget, fundraising initiatives, and financial sustainability.

Program Management: Oversee the planning and execution of sports seasons, tournaments, and events, ensuring they meet the club's standards and objectives.

Community Engagement: Build relationships with stakeholders, sponsors, and partners to support the club's growth and outreach efforts.

Compliance and Governance: Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, as well as adherence to the club's bylaws and policies.

Volunteer Management: Recruit, train, and recognize volunteers, promoting a positive volunteer experience within the club.


Qualifications:

Leadership Experience: Proven experience in a leadership role, preferably in a non-profit or sports organization.

Sports Management: Knowledge of sports seasons, event planning, and operational requirements for sporting events.

Administrative Skills: Strong organizational, administrative, and project management skills.

Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail and a focus on quality and accuracy.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate diverse stakeholders.

Team Player: Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively with a diverse team of volunteers.

Passion for Youth Development: Genuine passion for youth sports, mentorship, and community engagement.
