Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Optional Service and Analytics
position in Brampton, Ontario
for summer 2023 (May - August).

Job Summary


The Intern, Optional Service and Analytics is responsible for developing an understanding of CN's optional service tariff in relation to accessorial charges invoiced to customers.

The role supports the Optional Service team through data analytics, understanding tariff items, trend invoice to collection ratio, identify gaps between the tariff and invoicing.

The incumbent gains an understanding of Optional Service accessorial tariff charges, invoice and collection tracking, and the workload requirements of the Intermodal Optional Service Team.

Major Responsibilities

  • Understand CN's Intermodal Optional Service tariff, CN 9100
  • Review and correlate Operating System (OS) charges to applicable tariff items
  • Understand tariff items not currently billed, make recommendations on how to capture those charges
  • Perform a time study analysis to map out hours required to process invoices per tariff item and handle Optional Service customer charged disputes

Requirements:


  • Shows initiative, sound judgment, and accountability
  • Possesses excellent analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills
  • Ability to generate reports and collaborate in analysis
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Power BI
  • Ability to prioritize in an efficient manner
Education

  • Working towards a Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, or an equivalent field
