About The Toronto Lawyers Association:

The Toronto Lawyers Association a not-for-profit professional association that represents the interests of lawyers practicing in the GTA.

The Association supports its members through three pillars:
Knowledge, Advocacy, and Community.

That includes operating the Courthouse Library, providing a variety of education programs and current awareness resources along with social and networking events.

What you will be responsible for:

  • Provide administrative support to the team members at TLA
  • Assist in the organization of events and education programs
  • Welcome members and assist with prospective member projects
  • Assist with website maintenance
  • Prepare meetings and ensure appropriate materials are provided
  • Perform receptionist duties as required
  • Demonstrated ability provide excellent customer service
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communications skills and the ability to communicate in a professional and engaging manner
  • Proactive approach to work and independent problemsolving skills
  • Excellent organizational abilities and time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, manage multiple projects and prioritize
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to create solutions for complex problems
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, Zoom, MS Teams, and Adobe
  • Data entry skills with demonstrated speed and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced environment with a small tight knit team

Required education and skills background:


  • College Diploma or postsecondary degree in business, or a related field
  • Minimum 3 years experience in an administrative position supporting teams in their full scope of work
  • Familiarity with processes for determining and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive materials
