Position Description:

Pharmacy Assistant, 40-44 hours per week, Monday thru Friday, Occasional Weekends


Location and Operation:

Street, Edmonton, AB
Mon - Fri 8:00am to 5:00pm
Sat - Sun 9:00am to 2:00pm
The pharmacy is closed from noon to 12:30pm for lunch during weekdays.


Purpose of the position:

Pharmacy assistants are required to help support various Mint projects and patients.

They will help in the safe and efficient dispensing of medication by our Mint Health + Drugs pharmacies in our inner-city Edmonton location.


This is a great opportunity for a pharmacy assistant who wishes to work as part of a concerted multidisciplinary effort to help the most vulnerable in Edmonton.

What do you need to qualify?


Education and Experience:


  • Previous Pharmacy Assistant experience (preferred)
  • Kroll experience (highly preferred)
  • Current student or graduate of a College Pharmacy Assistant program (preferred)
  • Demonstrated experience with vulnerable populations (preferred)

Qualifications and Skills:


  • Computer proficiency with Word, Excel spreadsheets, Kroll, Netcare, and other database programs.
  • Very strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Communicates effectively at all levels.
  • Very strong attention to details.
  • Accepts and responds to changing priorities.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
