Mangrove Lithium, a Vancouver based company, has developed a breakthrough platform for the most cost-effective production of battery grade lithium hydroxide and carbonate from diverse input streams and assets.

Mangrove's modular solution can be scaled to any capacity and co-located with upstream lithium producers or cathode and cell manufacturers.

The platform technology is also being commercialized for the conversion of waste brines to chemicals and desalinated water. The company has recently attracted funding through Breakthrough Energy, BMW i Ventures, and BDC Capital.

The Company has a highly experienced leadership team with a track record of successfully commercializing and deploying industrial technologies and is working towards the deployment of a first-of-a-kind commercial plant.


Position


Mangrove is looking for a skilled
Plant Operator to set up, maintain and operate machinery and ensure the interminable and efficient running of our pilot plant located in Delta, BC (Annacis Island).

The individual will have a diverse and well-rounded technical skill set.

We are looking for a plant operator to keep accurate daily records of plant processing equipment to ensure optimal production levels.

The plant operator's responsibilities include regular maintenance of equipment and resolving any operational issues that may arise. You will be required to interact with co-workers in cross-functional teams.


To be successful as a plant operator, you must liaise between management and co-workers on operational issues at the facility.

A top-notch plant operator will ensure the efficient running of the plant's equipment and will be able to identify and rectify issues with speed and efficiency.

Note:
This position is located primarily at our Annacis Island (Delta, BC) facility and will sometimes require overnight shifts. The location is accessible via transit, however overnight shifts may require more reliable transportation arrangements.


Responsibilities

  • Monitoring and overseeing plant operations
  • Assisting with startup, shutdown, and operations of facility equipment
  • Identifying problems that arise and resolving them
  • Ensuring that safety and environmental rules and programs are strictly adhered to
  • Conceptualizing and recommending plant improvement strategies
  • Carrying out site inspections and audits
  • Performing preventative and maintenance measures
  • Observing gauges, dials, switches, and alarms, and other indicators to ensure that all machines are working properly
  • Keeping records of operation including activity logs
  • Training new hires and crosstraining other staff members
  • Maintaining a clean, hazardfree work environment
  • Checking inputs and outputs to spot any plantrelated mistakes or flaws
  • Carrying out other assigned tasks as required

Required Education, Skills and Experience

  • A minimum of a high school diploma
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting
  • A proven ability to work independently as well as within a team
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Uptodate maintenance of records and data
  • Commitment to working in an extremely safetyconscious environment
  • Adherence to health and safety regulations (e.g. WHMIS and use of Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Ability to read and follow schematics, standard operating procedures, and manuals
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including night shifts
