The Opportunity


As the Store Manager, you are responsible for overseeing the operations of the retail location by prioritizing the customer experience, maximizing sales and profitability, building a strong retail team, managing merchandising and much more.

As the Store Manager you play a key role in the overall atmosphere of the store, as you are responsible for the recruitment process and team development to maintain and create a strong retail staff.

Store Managers are relied on as a problem-solver for their team members and customers, and are viewed as an expert in all areas of the store.


Responsibilities:

Manage recruitment, staffing, team development, training on best retail practices and supervising the team
Merchandise products by creating impactful, value-driven presentations to drive sales
Communicate with head office to coordinate and execute operational efficiency and standards
Plan and execute sales and promotional events
Develop team members by training on product knowledge, stock processing, pricing, filling and stocking floor racks, store operations, warehousing, and company policies & procedures
Foster an excited, motivated and well-trained team by coaching and training on store operations and visual standards
Create and maintain a fun and exciting store environment
Build positive team relations, demonstrate ethical behavior, and maintain all safety guidelines
Complete the appropriate opening and closing procedures for the store


Qualifications:

4+ years of retail management experience is preferred
Knowledge of the powersports, automotive or sporting goods industries is required
Hands on working knowledge of retail systems, human resources best practices and operations
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with constant shifting priorities
Ability to complete assigned work and projects on time within a fast, ever-changing environment
Organizational skills and the ability to multi-task are essential
Proficiency in computer use
Effective communication and writing skills are required

Additional Information

This position reports to the Director of Product and Stores
This position requires team members to work varying hours, seasonal overtime, and shifts during days, evenings, and weekends
This position requires team members to stand for extended periods, climb a ladder and to move merchandise (weighing up to 50 pounds) throughout the store
Steel toe, green patch work boots are required
