About You:
You are comfortable with completing installations, maintenance and repairs associated with plumbing, heating, gas lines and equipment of Price Plumbing.
You have strong written and verbal communication that is necessary in the creation of work documents and providing explanations and training to others on the safe use of related equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Provide relevant information for the preparation of quotes for work orders.
- Perform routine maintenance of plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings as needed.
- Supports project review and planning as needed.
- Respond to plumbing calls as needed.
- Adhere to current rules and regulations related to plumbing so that systems pass inspection the first time.
- Work closely with dispatch to ensure all requirements are met.
- Supervise projects and plumbing team as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Support the standardization of backflow preventer testing if licensed to do so, replacing deflective equipment, and securing pipes.
- Respond to service calls and troubleshoot issues.
- Tend to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs, including cleaning of all plumbing and gas equipment.
- Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications.
- Assigns supervision and oversees aspects of new assignments.
- Supervises and provides technical expertise to staff.
- Manage, evaluate, supervise, train, and coach assigned journeymen and apprentices.
- Develops goals and priorities; assigns tasks and projects.
- Sign and approve timesheets for assigned staff on the same job/projects.
- Implements corrective actions and conducts performance evaluations.
- Ensures accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects.
- Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation.
- Maintain current plumber's license or identification card to meet governmental regulations.
- Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques.
- Ensure the assigned truck is kept clean and well maintained.
- Other assigned work as required.
Expectations:
- Keep up to date with all local codes and changes.
- Guide apprentices that work along side you.
- Track all work don through a logbook.
- Report any violations of Company Policies
- Adhere to Company Policies.
- Complete task per EAMA standards.
- Maintain daily timesheets.
- Report job status to supervisor daily.
- Maintain all tools, equipment, and vehicles.
- Report extra work requested by client.
- Must provide your own hand tools.
Expertise
- Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the layout of the plumbing system, water supply network, and waste and drainage systems.
- Install, repair, commercial, or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems.
- Supports lead, coach, and mentor the team.
Requirement:
- Must possess a valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
- Ability to work independently in a busy environment.
- Experience with routine maintenance operations.
- Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
- Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Able to work well under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times. Notify of any problems or issues immediately.
- Computer literate.
- Experience managing and leading a team is preferred
Work Conditions:
- 24/7 availability may be required.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lb.
- Travel to offsite locations may be required.
- Safety equipment will be required, e.g. steeltoed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, etc.
