Job Summary:


The Baycrest Foundation Marketing and Communications department is responsible for developing and executing communications strategies for a wide range of internal and external audiences that support Baycrest Foundations fundraising initiatives and programs, plus its signature peer-to-peer events including The Bike for Brain Health and The Baycrest Pro-Am.

The team manages Baycrest's brands, and works with senior executives to enhance the public perception of Baycrest Foundations and as supporting world-leading aging brain health care, research, innovation and education.

The team oversees all aspects of the organization's brand, both internally and externally.


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Develops content and marketing strategies on behalf of Baycrest Foundation to grow awareness of it's fundraising initiatives.
  • Collaborates with internal stakeholders to plan digital campaigns and social media promotion, including identifying target audiences, creating content (copy and creative), budget allocation, optimization, measurement and analysis.
  • Contributes to social media and digital ad plans and leads execution of the campaigns.
  • Initiates partnerships with internal stakeholders to develop organic social media content, including identifying target audiences, creating stories, establishing measurable goals and providing regular reporting.
  • Works with external vendors to execute paid digital campaigns and report metrics.
  • Leads the development of social media campaigns from inception to final reports, including ongoing maintenance and regular optimization.
  • Performs daily monitoring, budget management, tracking performance, content creation, execution and optimization across Baycrest Foundation's social media platforms (i.e. Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and others).
  • Drives the creation and management of a content calendar for social media channels.
  • Works with the Director, Marketing to report, analyze and measure effectiveness of all earned, paid and owned media initiatives.
  • Ensures content is current and relevant.
  • Flags potential issues and/or troubleshoot or escalate issues related to social media.
  • Monitors digital media trends, including use and implementation of AI tools, and provides regular updates on emerging coverage/issues/trends.
  • Pulls and analyzes data from Google Analytics (GA4) and other Webmaster tools related to analyzing digital marketing channels.
  • Reports on analytics and results, media mentions and analysis.
  • Creates monthly reports on media coverage and analytics. (i.e. MRP data).

Qualifications include but are not limited to:

  • Diploma or degree in Digital Marketing, Digital Media or related field
  • Minimum four (4) years of digital and social media marketing experience
  • Experience analyzing and reporting social media and digital marketing metrics with latest analytics software, especially GA4 custom reporting.
  • Advanced experience with social media content creation and management (Twitter/X, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn)
  • Experience in running paid social media campaigns and GoogleAds.
  • Experience managing the customer journey from topoffunnel through to conversion.
  • Experience with the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
  • Experience in latest digital content creation platforms such as Canva, plus ChatGPT, Copilot.
  • Previous experience in a fundraising and/or healthcare environment is preferred
  • Experience with photography / videography / short video editing.
  • Experience using animation programs is an asset.
  • Expertise in MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Maintains confidentiality/privacy of information where appropriate
  • Pure team player/collaborator, wellorganized and detail oriented
